Understanding Settler Colonialism Workshop: Register by 8/21

The Payahuunadü Alluance is collaborating with California Kitchen from Northern California to bring you a four-part online workshop series about understanding settler colonialism. The registration deadline is Friday, August 21st, so register today!

The organizers say, “This online workshop series is a four-part series of two-hour workshops, meeting over the course of several weeks and covering the basic history and present realities of settler colonialism. It is designed to address the education and activation of settlers who would like to become better allies with Indigenous communities on Turtle Island. It is also intended to provide a space for Indigenous folks to gain experience and confidence in telling their stories, and in connecting and collaborating with settlers who seek to work in solidarity with Indigenous aims.”

The webinars will run from 4PM to 6PM on these days:
Sunday 8/23: “Introductions, Intentions, and Community Building”
Saturday, 8/29: “Your Place and Deepening Historical Context”
Sunday, 8/30: “Stories”
Saturday, 9/5: “What Now?”
