On December 15, more than 60 of us met at Bishop United Methodist Church. Following some opening remarks, folks were able to attend two short sessions at their choice of several potential action groups. Topics included immigration; health and reproductive rights; LGBTQ+; and climate change and environmental issues. There was a lot of good energy and folks went away wanting more.
We will again meet at the Methodist Church on Sunday, February 2, from 3:30-5 PM. While December’s meeting was intended to pique and gauge the interest in a variety of topics, this gathering will provide plenty of time to settle in with others who share your passion, with the hope that we will come away from this meeting with action plans for the coming months. Remember, the goal of INYO350 is not to push a given agenda, but to empower ordinary citizens like you to make our community a kinder, more sustainable place.
We hope you can join us then. Light refreshments will be served.
